3There was no #CoverUp in 1840 when #TitusSalt’s father Daniel was stabbed in the ear & groin by his son-in-law Charles Smithies, whose pregnant wife Grace had fled to her parents’ home in Manningham. Bankrupt Charles was remanded in York Castle to appear at the Assizes.
